If spots are unavailable, students may be waitlisted based on:

• Academic performance
• Extracurricular achievements
• Application date

We will notify parents promptly if a spot becomes available.

We value fairness and transparency. If you wish to appeal an admission decision:

• Submit a formal appeal to the admissions department detailing your concerns.
• Appeals are reviewed within 30 days, and you will receive a formal response.

1. Payment Policy:
   • The first tuition installment must be paid within 7 days of acceptance.
   • Withdrawals after payment: A 100 KD fee applies if the student has not attended classes. No refunds are given if the student attends even one day.
2. Priority Admissions:
   • Siblings of current KBS scholars receive priority when spaces are limited.
3. Merit-Based Admissions:
   • Admissions are strictly merit-based. No “wasta” (favoritism) is considered.

External Applicants

1. Academic Excellence: Strong academic performance in relevant subjects.
2. Recommendation Letters: Two letters from previous teachers or administrators.
3. Personal Statement: An essay on the student’s IB DP interest and future goals.
4. Interview: To assess motivation, commitment, and readiness.
5. Language Proficiency: Test to ensure curriculum readiness.

Note: Grade 12 transfers are typically not accepted except under special circumstances. Please contact the admissions office for more details.

Internal Applicants

1. Academic Excellence: Strong academic record in relevant subjects.
2. Recommendation Letter: One letter from a KBS teacher or administrator.
3. Personal Statement: An essay on IB DP interest and aspirations.
4. Interview: To evaluate motivation and commitment.
