At Kuwait Bilingual School 2 (KBS 2), our leadership team is dedicated to ensuring that every member of our community learns at the highest level. The operation and administration of the school are led by the Director and the senior leadership team. The Director is responsible for managing the daily operations of the school and leading the administration, under the guidance of the all-volunteer Board of Governors.

Nadia Cerissi joined Kuwait Bilingual School 2 in 2020 and is dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where young learners thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Her educational philosophy is rooted in child-centered practices that foster curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. She believes that every child possesses unique strengths and potential and is committed to helping students develop the confidence and skills needed for future success through a focus on the whole child.

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Nadia moved to Kuwait with her family in 2016. The values of family, connection, and community are central to both her personal and professional life, shaping her approach to education and leadership.

A passionate lifelong learner, Nadia holds a Master of Education in Advanced Teaching with specializations in Elementary, Middle School, and Secondary Education. She has also completed Harvard University’s Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles program, further strengthening her commitment to effective leadership, collaboration, and continuous professional growth.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Nadia enjoys the arts, spending time with family and friends, and traveling and experiencing different cultures. She remains committed to fostering meaningful relationships and creating positive educational experiences that empower students, families, and educators alike.

Fatima Al-Raei joined Kuwait Bilingual School 2 in 2013 and currently serves as the Head of the Guidance and Educational Counseling Department. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Mental Health from the University of Jordan, graduating in 2012, as well as a Higher Diploma in Learning Difficulties, ADHD, and Behavior Modification from the American University in Kuwait. Fatima has also obtained numerous professional certifications in counseling skills, drug prevention, and child protection from reputable international organizations in Germany, the Netherlands, and Kuwait, in collaboration with CIS. Additionally, she has participated in conferences related to mental health, educational counseling, and skill development across Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries, reflecting her continuous commitment to professional growth and fostering a supportive school environment.

Fatima believes that education goes beyond academics; it is a holistic process that shapes students’ character and emotional well-being. In her leadership role, she strives to create a safe and supportive environment where students can develop essential life skills and confidently navigate challenges. She adopts a compassionate and comprehensive approach that combines emotional support with behavioral counseling, emphasizing trust and mutual respect. Fatima also focuses on designing preventive programs that promote mental well-being and positive behavior within the school community, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing educational atmosphere.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Fatima is passionate about researching the latest studies in educational psychology, personal development, and modern parenting techniques. She sees educational counseling not just as a profession but as a meaningful mission to empower individuals, nurture a responsible and self-aware generation, and instill strong values in students. She is honored to be part of the KBS 2 team, where she works to create an inspiring school environment that helps shape future leaders with a positive mindset and a balanced perspective on life.
